The darkness of gloom veiled the land of my mind with all the news of food shortages, no fuel for vehicles or homes, money devalued, housing and stock market crashing, etc. It became so overwhelming to the point I thought I had missed our Father’s timing in making some big decisions.
Wish it hadn’t taken me so long to remember how our Father took care of the Israelites. It was foretold how long they would be enslaved. Their deliverance was not delayed in its fulfillment by even one day. On top up that, they were numbered in the millions when Yahweh led them out loaded with the wealth of the Egyptians. (Exodus 12:36)
Just like His mercy is newly accessible every morning, so is His daily provision of fresh bread not to mention He didn’t let their clothing or shoes wear out.
Everyday, I need to remind myself to hope in Yahweh and wait expectantly for His timing. After all, His mercy and covenant loyalty are new every morning to me as well and He will supply my every need from His riches not mine. (Lamentations 3:22-24, Philippians 4:19)
Our Father will even leave the Light on for His covenanted ones, as He did for the Israelites in Goshen. (Exodus 10:22-23)
“For, behold, the darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness the people,
but Yahweh’s glory will rise like the sun upon you.”
(Isaiah 60:2)
“Even though it seems I’m walking in the unending shadows of black gloom,
I am not overcome by fear.
Because You are with me in those dark moments,
near with Your protection and guidance, I am comforted.”
(Psalm 23:4)
You who love Yahweh, hate anarchy!
Light is sown for the righteous and gladness for the upright in heart.
(Psalm 97:10-11)
