When a famine gripped the land, a different one from the first famine that occurred in Abraham’s time, Isaac set out to live where God told him.
God reminded Isaac of the Covenant He made with his father, Abraham. Because his dad listened to God’s Voice so he could keep His charge, commandments, His appointed customs and His Torah (Teachings), Isaac would be blessed.
Then Isaac planted [seed] in that land [as a farmer] and reaped in the same year a hundred times [as much as he had planted], and the Lord blessed and favored him.
Because God is faithful to His Covenant, like Isaac, we have His sure promise that “Yahweh will command the blessing on you in your barns, and in all that you put your hand to. He will bless you in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.” (Deuteronomy 28:8)
Yahweh will make you the head, not the tail.
You will always be at the top, never at the bottom,
if you faithfully obey the commands of Yahweh
your Elohim that I am giving you today.
(Deuteronomy 28:13)
